This social enterprise believes that storytelling and tour guiding can open doors to economic independence, particularly for women from underserved backgrounds who face real barriers to entering the workforce.

Through their Enterprising Tour Guiding Academy, women are trained to become confident, skilled micro-entrepreneurs, designing and leading their own tours. It’s a model that has already brought brilliant experiences to London, including the Tooting Mama’s Sri Lankan Food Tour, the Turkish Heritage Tour and the Pakistani Heritage Tour, all ready to book for team days or client hospitality.

Now, Women in Travel CIC wants to bring this same impact to London Bridge. Working alongside Team London Bridge, they’re looking to recruit and train a local woman to design and lead a brand new London Bridge Cultural Heritage Tour, putting our area’s history on the map in a completely new way.

This is where our business community comes in. Whether through sponsorship to fund training and mentoring, or by offering training space, local support could help build a brand new enterprise rooted right here in London Bridge.

If you’d like to get involved, get in touch at info@womenintravelcic.com to discuss how you can support the London Bridge tour. Or, in the meantime, why not book one of the existing tours for your next corporate outing? You can view and book here.
