Tower Bridge has introduced a new heat-reducing treatment to the glass of its famous High-level Walkways, rejecting up to 95% of infrared radiation and blocking up to 96% of UV rays, all while keeping the crystal-clear views that make the Walkways such a highlight for visitors. It’s a heritage-sensitive retrofit, chosen so the historic structure keeps its character while performing better in a changing climate.

Chris Earlie, Director of Tower Bridge, said: “As London continues to experience warmer summers, this investment will help visitors to enjoy our High-level Walkways in greater comfort during periods of hot weather while, importantly, preserving the spectacular views and the historic character that make Tower Bridge such a memorable day out.”
