It feels particularly meaningful after the summer we’ve had. Every single one of our green spaces came through the drought, with Putting Down Roots, Druid Street Gardens, Potters Fields Park and Gibbon’s Rents standing out as real testaments to what climate resilient planting can achieve. A few days of rain and they’re already looking refreshed, proof of the resilience built into these spaces from the ground up.

Sustainability, alongside the health and wellbeing of our community, continues to sit at the centre of everything we do. Each project is designed with biodiversity and air quality in mind, our teams use cargo bikes instead of motor vehicles for deliveries, and we embrace circular practices by reusing reclaimed plants and materials wherever possible.

None of this happens without an incredible network of people behind it. Thank you to Cityscapes, Paul, Ella and the wider gardening team, Scotscape Urban Greening, Potters Fields Park Management Trust, the Southwark Council Greens Team, Meristem Design, GreenLease, and Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust for their brilliant community gardening partnership.

We’d also like to congratulate our fellow Business Improvement Districts who took part in this year’s London in Bloom competition. Together, we’re creating a greener, healthier and more enjoyable city for everyone.
