Last month we were delighted to receive ‘Highly Commended’ at the Healthy City Design Awards 2025 for our project with Centre for London, ‘A Healthy Placemaking Approach for London Bridge: The Role of Business Improvement Districts in Promoting Health and Wellbeing‘. The award was in the Design Research for Healthy Cities category, recognising the work of the Centre for London team in exploring the potential for BIDs to impact health in their areas and identifying ways to measure this.
Launched in Mhttp://chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/https://www.teamlondonbridge.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/A-Healthy-Placemaking-Approach-for-London-Bridge.pdfay this year, the work will help Team London Bridge to fine tune our existing services to get the maximum health benefits for our community, as well as direct us to devise new initiatives with our partners that can positively effect health and wellbeing locally.
One of our Pledges to our members when they voted 97% in favour to continue Team London Bridge 2026-31 was that we will Focus on People and Planet. Now we would like to draw attention to the work being done by our businesses to look after the health and wellbeing of their staff and customers.
Is your business doing great things for health and wellbeing?
This year we’re excited to introduce a new award category for ‘Best Practice Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace’ at our ‘Great Place for Business’ awards in January.
Last year we awarded Great Place for Business awards for Sustainability, Social Impact and Safety. This year we will be adding Health & Wellbeing into the mix.
To nominate your business, simply tell us one thing you’ve done to promote health and wellbeing in London Bridge, big or small. We’re keen to see the range of ways organisations interpret this, so we’re keeping the brief open.
Please send around 100 words describing your initiative, including any data you have (participation figures, feedback, outcomes, etc.) and the impact it’s had. Email your nomination to info@teamlondonbridge.co.uk.
