Our Board is representative of the Team London Bridge membership and consists of 10 individuals who give up their time for free. For the past 8 years, Professor Simon Howell of King’s College London has been the Team London Bridge Chair, leading the Board and ensuring the executive team are always delivering value for money for the business community.

During Simon’s tenure he has overseen two BID ballots, with the most recent providing resounding support for Team London Bridge to continue our work until 2031. As we approach the new five-year BID term in 2026, Simon has decided to step away from the BID Board. His fellow Board members and the executive team would like to thank Simon for his clarity, direction and experience across various fields that have allowed Team London Bridge to thrive.

Nadia Broccardo, Chief Executive of Team London Bridge said,

“It has been a true pleasure to work with Simon. Thank you to him and King’s for providing our organisation with vital leadership, particularly through challenging periods during and after the covid pandemic, which saw us adapt and continue to deliver services throughout the various lockdowns. Under Simon’s stewardship, Team London Bridge has helped drive change to make the area somewhere to come to, instead of through, and establish projects that will continue long into the future”.

In accordance with the Team London Bridge BID constitution, Board members have nominated Daniel Charles, Head of Retail at Network Rail, as Simon’s replacement as Chair.

Daniel said, “I’m unabashed in my belief that the London Bridge neighbourhood is a wonderful place to work live, and visit and am delighted to be taking over as Team London Bridge Chair. Thank you to Simon, Nadia and the Board for their support. My portfolio with Network Rail is nationwide, however, London Bridge Station is a jewel in our crown for Network Rail, and I am looking forward to having this local focus here. My background in retail, hospitality and inward investment is something we’ll be able to draw upon as Team London Bridge continues to bring partners to the table and create a place that people love to be in”.
