Running from 11 am to 7 pm, with stalls open until 5:30 pm, the festival remains a free, un-ticketed celebration of community spirit, creativity and local culture. But behind the scenes, it takes dozens of hands to keep the day running smoothly — and that’s where the organisers need you.

“After the incredible community response that saved our festival last year, we’re thrilled to bring it back with even more to offer,” said organiser Gena Johns, who has led the event’s revival alongside Leanna Durham. Thanks to support from London Glassblowing and Daniel Cobb Estate Agents, the festival survived a critical turning point last year — now, it needs volunteers to secure its future.

From stewarding and setting up, to helping run activities and assisting visitors, there are a wide range of volunteer roles available. Whether you have a few hours to spare or can give your full day, your help will make a tangible difference to one of South London’s most iconic community events.

“The festival fosters connection, community and economic vitality,” Gena added. “It’s an invaluable platform for local businesses and creatives — and a place where beautiful memories are made just strolling the stalls.”

This year’s event promises an expanded lineup including artisan crafts, street food, live music, a family area, and even a Dog Show and Maypole. With thousands expected to attend, organisers are also inviting local businesses to consider sponsorship opportunities.
