9th July, 12:45-13:30, St John’s Churchyard, SE1 2AJ

We will explore gentle and subtle movements that will help with relaxation, coordination and balance. The session will be held outdoors in the fresh air in St John’s Churchyard. It is open to those with little experience or total beginners who always wanted to know a little more about Tai Chi. It will be a relaxed and easy going session and will require a moderate level of fitness.

Benefits of Tai Chi:

While being mostly slow and gradual, the movements help to gently opening and stretching the joints and muscles of the body, releasing tension. Regular practice of Tai Chi can develop: improved overall health, calmness, focus of mind and increased energy.

Who is leading the sessions:

The session will be taught by Stephen Walsh who is a teacher with the Mei Quan Academy of Tai Chi. Stephen has taught with the school for over 10 years. The Mei Quan Academy of Tai Chi has been running tai chi classes since 1992. We have long experience of cultivating the most enjoyable environment for Tai Chi across our branches in the U.K. and abroad.

Participants should wear loose fitting clothes that they can move easily about in and light weight shoes.
