16th September, 09:00-10:00, PPL, St. Saviour’s Wharf, 23 Mill Street, London, SE1 2BE
PPL, the UK’s leading social enterprise management consultancy based on Mill Street, SE1, have revealed the social and financial benefit of free community spaces through an impact report that evaluates The PPL Hub @ Mill Street project. The report estimates that the project has unlocked up to £250,000 for the voluntary sector in its first year alone, whilst also providing a blueprint for the model that other organisations can replicate.
We will also hear from Community Southwark about their State of the Sector report, published in 2023, which highlights the acute need for venues and spaces from the VCS sector in the borough and was the catalyst for The Hub’s development.
As well as networking with neighbouring businesses, you’ll also get a chance to see the space and ask PPL staff questions, as the event is kindly hosted by them in the very same venue that informed the impact report!
We hope this informative event will inspire you to think differently about the value of space, what giving back locally might look like in practical terms whilst addressing a real pressing need. We look forward to seeing you there.
