5th November, 09:30-11:00, London Bridge Hive, 8 Holyrood St, SE1 2EL
Ever found yourself staring at the office bins, meal-deal wrapper in hand, wondering where on earth you’re supposed to put it? Is it plastic…is it paper…does it even matter which bin it goes in?
Waste doesn’t have to be this frustrating. In this practical workshop, we’ll explore what goes wrong with recycling in the workplace, and how to design simple systems to help everyone get it right, with less effort. We’ll also tie your bin habits to the bigger picture, looking at the effects of waste systems on global warming and the environment, and how better recycling even helps your business save money.
Led by Kirsten Zoe Smith, Net Zero Strategist at Recorra and recycling expert, the session includes:
- Common workplace recycling slip-ups and how to avoid them
- An interactive ‘what bin does it go in?’ quiz (plus a chance to stump the trainer!)
- Real examples from businesses that made it work and saved money doing it
- You’ll also get useful tools to take away, such as a best bin-practice guide and simple signage ideas. This session is perfect for anyone in your team who wants to help your business recycle more, to save money, with less effort.
These training sessions are open to all Southwark-based SMEs with fewer than 250 employees. Up to three employees per business are invited to register for each session. In order to join this training, please ensure your organisation has completed the Southwark Climate Collective Registration Form.
