Our Commitment: 2026-31

London Bridge:
A Great Place for Business

We’re pleased to confirm that Team London Bridge has secured another five-year term following a successful 2025 BID ballot. With 97% voting in favour and a turnout of 72% by number of eligible businesses, this result shows strong support from local businesses and confidence in our shared vision.

Thanks to your backing, over £11 million will be invested into the area between 2026–31, helping us continue to build an engaging, safe and sustainable district.

Thank you to all who voted and continue to support our work.

BID Ballot 2025

A Breakdown of the Results

The 2025 BID ballot delivered a strong mandate for Team London Bridge:

  • 97% voted in favour by number of votes cast
    (98% by rateable value)
  • 72% turnout by number of eligible businesses

This result confirms the business community’s continued confidence in the BID and its role in shaping a thriving local economy.

Levy and Funding 2026-31

Team London Bridge and all BIDs are funded through an additional levy on eligible businesses within the BID boundary. This levy supports projects and services outlined in this Proposal.

Following the successful ballot, every eligible business occupying a hereditament (or business premises) of £22,000 or more in rateable value will pay an annual levy of 1.2% of its rateable value. The levy is capped at £90,000, for year 1, per annum for any one business occupying one or more hereditaments in the BID area. There are exemptions and relief for registered charities.

See all levy rules for 2026-31 here.

The BID levy will be collected by Southwark Council in the same way as business rates and be passed back to the BID Company.

Five Year Financial Forecast

Our Vision:

To make London Bridge one of the most safe, sustainable and engaging places for business and tourism in the world.

To achieve this, we are making three pledges:

01

Focus on people and the planet:

People make a place. We look at ways our services can support a safe, happy and healthy community of 60,000 people, creating a first-class place to work while maximising social impact. This is entwined with our efforts to lead London Bridge towards it’s goal of being a Net Zero district by 2030, in line with Southwark and Mayor of London targets, and strengthening our collective climate resilience.

02

Embrace creativity and collaboration

We have around 380 businesses working beside us in the area, they are all part of Team London Bridge, and we embrace their knowledge and drive. From security and health to tourism and the arts, our community includes experts in their own fields. We collaborate widely and use culture partners to promote, activate and entertain London Bridge.

03

Keep London Bridge at the heart of everything we do

Team London Bridge is a Business Improvement District (BID). This means that the businesses within the BID boundary pay a levy on their business rates to fund services in our area, designed specifically to support our community to thrive. We are stronger together.
