London Bridge incident - Charity Donations and Floral Tributes

UK Solidarity Fund

The horrific incidents at London Bridge and Borough Market on June 3rd have affected many people. As with the Westminster and Manchester terror attacks, the local community and people across the world want to show their solidarity with the victims and their families.

Because of this, the British Red Cross has launched the UK Solidarity Fund. This fund will help victims of terror attacks anywhere in the UK, starting with London.

The UK Solidarity Fund provides a way to help those who have been affected by these terrible events, and those who might be affected by similar events in the UK. The donations will help alleviate suffering and ensure that victims and their families do not face short-term financial difficulties.

Support Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust in tribute to Kirsty Boden

Kirsty Boden was one of the victims tragically killed on June 3rd. Kirsty was a staff nurse in Theatres Recovery at Guy’s Hospital. Colleagues at the Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust are forwarding any donation requests in her memory to supportgstt.org.uk.

In addition all staff, patients and members of the public are invited to lay flowers in the Colonnade around Counting House at Guy's Hospital and around the Mary Seacole statue in the gardens at St Thomas' in tribute to Kirsty.

A memorial book is located in the prayer room at Guy's Chapel.

Floral tributes to all victims

We have been informed by Southwark Council that the south east corner of London Bridge (at the junction of Duke Street Hill and Borough High Street) has been designated as the official location for tributes (flowers and messages) to Saturday’s tragic events. Over the next few days tributes left elsewhere in the area will be carefully collected and re-located here so please do not be alarmed if you notice they have been moved.
