Build a Green Wall: Bring People Together

  • The Union Shop KCL SU, Collingwood Street London SE1 9RT (map)

Green walls and vertical gardens are becoming popular across London, but what do they actually do, other than look pretty? We invite you to visit and learn about London’s newest green wall from our expert speakers. Bordering Borough’s historic yards and King’s College London’s Guy’s Campus, the green wall softens physical boundaries, encouraging alternative tranquil walking routes away from busy main streets.

The wall has galvanised partners to cut traffic from the London Bridge Health campus, and will provide a source of fresh air and wellbeing for patients, students, passers-by and visitors. Our speakers will talk about the approach to the transformation and future work still to come. The project is part funded by the Mayor’s Air Quality Fund.

You will hear from:

  • Untitled Practice Architects

  • Scotscape

  • London Bridge Health Campus partners (Kings College London, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital Trust and Charity)

Meeting point: The Union Shop KCLSU, Collingwood Street, SE1 9RT
