We aim to keep the London Bridge / Tower Bridge area (historically known as “The Pool of London") on the tourist map, and encourage employee use of local amenities.
Providing a visitor website
In 2007 we redeveloped the well-known and well-used pooloflondon.co.uk visitor site. Now found at www.discoverlondonbridge.com, the website is a fantastic source of information on where to stay, visit and eat locally. It helps to ensure that visitors are well-orientated and that businesses benefit from increased tourism spend and return visits. The website attracts over 30,000 users per month.
Attending tourism trade shows
Encouraging the travel trade to promote the area by having a presence at some key tourism trade shows, along with other agencies such as Visit London.
Producing local guides
We produce the immensely popular 'What’s On' bi-monthly events guide. We distribute 19,000 of these to Tourist Information Centres, hotels, shops, and cafes, locally and at key tourist points across London. 'What's On' comes out every two months to make visitors' lives easy and to help encourage people to spend more time (and money) in the BID area.
Our London Bridge Map Guide was updated and reprinted in 2009. Also free to pick up, it showcases all local attractions and suggests areas to eat and drink locally. It is distributed to the same points as the What's On guide as well as over 400 Tourist Information Centres across England and key London railway stations. Approx. 16,500 London Bridge Map Guides are picked up every month.

Employee orientation
Businesses moving into the area have all the help they could need from the London Bridge BID Company. We offer free Blue Badge guided tours of the area for local employees, a free audio guide, map guides, what's on leaflets, and employees can also take advantage of the DealCard loyalty card scheme. Our business events also help to build local contact networks. Our regular e-updates also provide a quick run-down of what's happening locally.

Working in partnership
Team London Bridge work with our neighbouring BIDs, business associations, the local council, the LDA, Visit London and commercial partners to ensure that our area and its businesses are promoted strategically.
Visitor orientation and attraction promotion
Our InfoBike is one of a trio operating along the south of the river between Tower Bridge and the London Eye. Staffed by two trained Information Officers, the InfoBike is part funded by the LDA and operated in partnership with Better Bankside, SBEG and Impact Print Distribution. The InfoBike operates over spring and summer months and distributes maps and information about local attractions, helps with transport queries and provides London-wide information to visitors.

Supporting local events
Helping to ensure that interesting and vibrant activity is sustained in our area. For example, since 2006 we have sponsored the annual Mayor’s Thames Festival and Bermondsey Street Festivals.
Travel Trade
Team London Bridge are Gold Members (business and leisure) of Visit London, ensuring our area is promoted to consumers and the travel trade through their wide programme of marketing initiatives.
Street arts initiatives
Summer 2008 saw the first season of Team London Bridge 'Summer Arts Initiatives'. The objective of this programme was to bring accessible arts and performance to the streets of London Bridge to complement existing cultural happenings and liven up some of the district's quieter areas. This included live lunchtime music, a photographic exhibition, and street theatre with Southwark Playhouse.
